The lively Mall Road is only a few minutes' walk from our doors — a popular stretch for a morning or afternoon stroll. (If you fancy a quick bite, Keventer's is a 3-minute, 270-metre walk from the property.) The Mall leads into Chowrasta, the town's well-known public square, a good spot to relax and take in the mountain air.

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (The Toy Train)

A trip to this hill station is incomplete without the famous DHR toy train. The main boarding point at Darjeeling Railway Station is an 8-minute, 550-metre walk from our hotel. Riding this historic narrow-gauge railway through the misty hills is a memorable experience.

Batasia Loop

Located 4.4 km away, the Batasia Loop is a well-known engineering feature where the toy train loops down through a landscaped garden, with views of the Kanchenjunga range on clear days.

Tiger Hill

The excursion to Tiger Hill, 13.4 km from the hotel, means a pre-dawn departure — but watching first light hit the snow-capped peaks of Kanchenjunga is worth it.
